In short
The 2027 BMW PGA Championship is on the West Course at Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, with the four rounds from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 September 2027 and the celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday 22 September. There is no public parking at Wentworth, so pick a base that works with the trains or the park and rides: Virginia Water, Egham or Staines on the line to Virginia Water station (free shuttle bus to the course in 2026), or Ascot and Sunningdale next to the park and rides used in 2026 (Broomhall Farm, Sunningdale, and Royal Ascot Racecourse); if those are full, central London is about an hour to the gate by direct train from Waterloo and the shuttle. Adult day tickets ran from GBP 40 on Thursday to GBP 75 at the weekend in the DP World Tour shop (seen 7 November 2026, prices can change), and the event sold out on four of five days in 2025, so buy weekend days early.

Getting in: parking, shuttles and gates
The 2027 plan is not out yet, so this is how it worked in 2026. There was no public parking at Wentworth: drivers followed the yellow AA signs off the motorway to the Sunningdale (Broomhall Farm) or Ascot (Royal Ascot Racecourse) park and ride, GBP 10 per car booked ahead or GBP 15 on the day, and took a free bus, and taxis had to drop off there too. By train, Virginia Water station had a free shuttle bus to the venue, about 5 minutes away. Gates opened at 06:30 from Wednesday to Friday and 07:00 at the weekend, and the Tuesday practice day ran 08:00 to 18:00 with only the Sunningdale park and ride open; bags were searched, the site was cashless, phones were fine on silent and cameras were allowed only on the Wednesday Pro-Am.

House rules
- Phones
- Allowed with limits
- Bags
- In 2026 bags and rucksacks were allowed but searched at entry, and left luggage in the Welcome tent cost GBP 1 (given to the official charity). You could bring your own food and soft drinks in a small bag; picnic hampers and trolleys, alcohol and glass bottles were not allowed. Folding chairs and pushchairs were allowed, dogs only if assistance dogs. Phones were allowed on all five days if kept on silent; cameras only on the Wednesday Pro-Am. The site was cashless with no ATM. The 2027 rules are not out yet.
- Parking
- In 2026 there was no public parking at Wentworth. Drivers used one of two park and rides, signed with yellow AA event signs after leaving the motorway: Sunningdale at Broomhall Farm (postcode SL5 0HD, red signs, open Tuesday to Sunday) and Ascot at Royal Ascot Racecourse (postcode SL5 7JX, green signs, open Wednesday to Sunday). Parking cost GBP 10 per car booked in advance or GBP 15 on the day, with a GBP 30 season car park for weekly ticket holders. Treetops holders parked free at Sunningdale, and 72 Lounge, 72 Signature Lounge and Approach guests had free priority parking at either site; for 2027 The Ballroom and The Vista include VIP parking and The Approach has parking on request. Blue Badge parking was free at both sites. Taxis and ride-hail cars had to drop off at the park and rides. The 2027 plan is not out yet.
- Shuttle
- In 2026 free buses ran from both park and rides and from Virginia Water station, about 5 minutes by bus from the venue: 07:45 to 18:00 on Tuesday (Ascot closed), 06:15 to 20:00 Wednesday to Friday and 06:45 to 20:30 at the weekend. All buses were wheelchair accessible. The 2027 timetable is not out yet.
How to get tickets
Tickets for 2027 are on general sale through the DP World Tour ticket shop: adult day tickets seen on 7 November 2026 ran from GBP 40 on Thursday to GBP 75 at the weekend, with a weekly ticket at GBP 190, and prices can change. Children aged 0 to 12 go free with an adult ticket bought in the same order and must be with an adult, and 13 to 17 year olds pay a youth price. The official shop lists 21 to 26 September while the tour's pages list 22 to 26, and no Tuesday day ticket is on sale yet (in 2026 the Tuesday practice day was open to the public). Treetops (from GBP 150) is an upgraded ticket with a raised platform and a bar on the 14th, and the Premium Experiences run from GBP 380 (72 Lounge) to GBP 1,014 (The Vista over the 18th green). Tickets can be passed to friends in My Tour, but there is no official resale and the event sold out on four of five days in 2025, so buy early from the DP World Tour shop and be wary of other sellers.
Where to watch at the BMW PGA Championship
Spend the afternoon around the closing par 5s and the 18th green, with a stop at the 14th if you have Treetops.
-
Hole 18
18th green
The finish by the clubhouse, where the leaders try to reach the par 5 in two. In 2026 the grandstand needed a separate Grandstand Pass and seats became unreserved after 16:00, so arrive early on Sunday.
-
Hole 17
17th hole
The first of the two closing par 5s, a good spot to see birdies and eagles before the crowd builds at the 18th.
-
Range and 1st tee
Watch the warm-ups on the range beside the clubhouse, then the tee shots at the 1st. Thursday and Friday had a two-tee start in 2026, so groups also began at another tee.

BMW PGA Championship questions
When is the BMW PGA Championship in 2027?
The four rounds run from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 September 2027 on the West Course at Wentworth Club, with the celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday 22 September. It moved later than usual because the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor is the week before (17 to 19 September 2027).
Where should I stay for the BMW PGA Championship?
Stay on the train line to Virginia Water (Virginia Water itself, Egham or Staines) or by the park and rides used in 2026 in Ascot and Sunningdale. Windsor has the most hotels close by but no direct train. Central London is a fallback if the closer towns are full: about an hour to the gate by direct train from Waterloo and the shuttle.
How do I get to Wentworth by train?
Take a direct South Western Railway train to Virginia Water: about 43 minutes from London Waterloo on average, 4 minutes from Egham and 8 from Staines. In 2026 a free shuttle bus ran from the station to the venue, about 5 minutes away.
Is there parking at the BMW PGA Championship?
Not at Wentworth itself. In 2026 drivers used the Sunningdale (Broomhall Farm) or Ascot (Royal Ascot Racecourse) park and ride, at GBP 10 per car booked in advance or GBP 15 on the day, with free buses to the course; Treetops and some Premium Experience tickets included free parking. The 2027 plan is due nearer the event.
How much are BMW PGA Championship tickets, and do kids go free?
Adult day tickets for 2027 seen in the DP World Tour shop on 7 November 2026 ran from GBP 40 on Thursday to GBP 75 at the weekend, or GBP 190 for the week, and prices can change. Children aged 0 to 12 go free with an adult ticket bought in the same order, and 13 to 17 year olds pay a youth price.
How far is Wentworth from Heathrow?
About 20 to 25 minutes by car from the terminals outside rush hour (Terminal 5 is closest), to the Sunningdale park and ride used in 2026. There is no direct train from Heathrow to Virginia Water, so most visitors flying in take a taxi or hire car to their base.
